Amy Trask Named 2026 Fierce Award Honoree of Greater Gainesville
Gainesville, FL, March 15, 2026 — Earlier this month, Amy Trask was named a 2026 Fierce Award Honoree by CCM Consulting and Advisory Services. The annual Fierce Awards program, now in its eleventh year, recognized 31 women in the Greater Gainesville community this year for their outstanding leadership, perseverance, and meaningful service.
“I’m honored to be recognized alongside so many extraordinary women who are shaping the future of Greater Gainesville,” said Trask, a candidate for Florida House District 22. “Real progress is built by many hands, by people across this state who are organizing, creating, healing, and leading with ‘fierce’ determination. Each woman recognized this year brings her own story, struggle, and strength – and together, we show what’s possible when diverse voices lead with purpose and compassion.”
Trask receives this reward in light of her mold-breaking leadership to advance life-saving protections for domestic and dating violence survivors as the original author of the HAVEN Act.
“I’m running for office to make sure more voices shape the decisions that affect our families and to build a future where every community is heard, valued, and can thrive,” continued Trask. “This award is a reminder that change is built by everyday people who refuse to give up on themselves or their communities, especially when it is hard, towards a future in Florida where dignity is not the ceiling but the floor.”
The 2026 Fierce Awards celebration will take place on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Granville Plantation in Newberry, Florida. The program will feature a keynote address from CEO and entrepreneur Cotrenia Hood.
Great fabulous and wonderful for you for getting the Haven Act passed into law!
